Karim Ghahwagi

Karim Ghahwagi is the author of The Inhuman Ladder, a collection of dark fantastic tales (Zagava, Germany 2021), Children of the Crimson Sun (Egaeus Press, England, 2019) and The Secretariat of Tenebrous Anatomies, with illustrations by Bethany White, (Raphus Press, Brazil). Most recently Raphus Press has published the novelettes The Black Hand, and Oceans of Hope in 2023 and 2024. The same publisher has also released Portuguese translations of his stories The Sorrows of Satan’s Book, and Horrill Hill, and a Portuguese translation of his novella An Invitation to a Conjuring is forthcoming in 2024. The novellas Amerika, Europa and The Liminal Void, were published by Mount Abraxas Press, an imprint of Ex Occidente Press, Romania). His fiction has appeared in homage to Mikhail Bulgakov, William Blake, Bruno Schulz, Francisco Goya, Carl Th. Dreyer, Low, Thomas Ligotti and Emil Cioran. He has created visual works and music videos for such artists as Efterklang, Trentemøller, Gitane DeMone, Kasper Bjørke, Søren Kragh-Jacobsen, Kúra and Celestial Son. He has earned degrees in Film, Electronic Media and English Literature from Bard College, NY. He currently lives in Denmark.
